Digital everywhere: Competent use of new media

Acting confidently and safely in the digital world - from critical media evaluation and protecting your own privacy to active participation in social networks. This workshop offers practical instructions and discussions. Learn how to filter digital information, protect your online identity and actively participate in the digital community. Get the tools you need to confidently master the opportunities and challenges of new media. Course content: Assessment of the participants' level of knowledge by the course leader and clarification of desired topics and learning content Basics on the topics of staying safe on the internet and in social media Opportunities and challenges of new media Rules of conduct on the internet (netiquette) Information and tips on protecting personal data / secure passwords Copyright / source criticism/ Ongoing answers to individual questions Exchange with and between course participants discussion Online tutorials For whom? Young people, (grand)parents, caregivers, anyone interested, people without previous (digital) knowledge Digital Überall is a free workshop program for digital beginners that offers 4,500 workshops throughout Austria. The low-threshold offer is financed by the Federal Chancellery as part of the Digital Competence Offensive and is managed by the Office for Digital Competences at the OeAD.
