This fun and educational cooking class explores the principles of cooking according to the five elements of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). Cooking according to the five elements (equivalent to the five phases of change) is a concept that aims to promote a harmonious balance in the body through the choice of certain foods.

According to the principles of TCM, the five elements - wood, fire, earth, metal and water - represent different energetic qualities and are associated with certain organs, seasons, tastes and other aspects of life. When cooking according to the five elements, food is selected according to the season in order to promote balance in the body according to the TCM concept. For example, according to this concept, many green and acidic foods can be used in spring, while salty and black foods are preferred in winter. (Recipes vary according to the season of the course and are seasonally adapted).

Prerequisites: No previous knowledge required! This course is aimed at anyone who is curious about TCM nutrition and would like to try new culinary experiences.
