Über „Die Kärntner Volkshochschulen GmbH“

Die Kärntner Volkshochschulen GmbH ist eine gemeinnützige, nicht gewinnorientierte und unabhängige GmbH mit 70 Jahren Erfahrung. Mit mehr als 3.000 Kursangeboten an 79 Kursorten (und online), sind die VHSn ein wesentlicher Bestandteil der Bildungs- und Kulturlandschaft. Über 23.500 Teilnahmen sind jährlich zu verzeichnen und 580 nebenberufliche, qualifizierten Kursleiter:innen sind für die Kärntner Volkshochschulen in ganz Kärnten im Einsatz. Die Aufgabe ist die Sicherstellung einer Grundversorgung mit Angeboten zur Förderung von Schlüsselkompetenzen sowie bedarfsorientierter und lebensbegleitender Bildungsangebote. Neben einem umfangreichen Programm zur allgemeinen und beruflichen Weiterbildung bietet die VHS Kärnten 25 Projekte mit Schwerpunkten in Basisbildung, Integration, Beratung, Gesundheit und offener Jugendarbeit an.
