A Messier marathon astronomy course offers an exciting introduction to observing the Messier catalog, a list of 110 deep sky objects created by Charles Messier in the 18th century. In this workshop, participants will learn how to systematically observe these fascinating objects such as nebulae, galaxies and star clusters by searching the sky during a clear night. Own telescopes are welcome but not required. The course instructor is deputy director of the Klagenfurt Observatory and has excellent knowledge of astronomy.
