A geologically diverse subsoil (limestone, silicate and mixed rock), the warm south side of the Hohe Tauern, but also extreme differences in altitude from 1,200 m in the valley to 3,798 m on the Großglockner and extensive farming are the main reasons for the botanical diversity of species in Heiligenblut. During this full-day excursion in the vicinity of the Kaiser-Franz-Josefs-Höhe, the habitats and flora of the area are explained in a vivid and story-rich way. Lecturer: Oliver Stöhr, biologist, REVITAL, Nußdorf-Debant In cooperation with www.bios-mallnitz.at
